We are so excited to introduce VESPER by Chemistry, our hand-curated collection of fine jewelry for those drawn to the unexpected, the architectural, and pieces with just a little bit of grit.

Think diamonds, but moodier.

VESPER plays with contrast: dark, oxidized silver against the warm, shifting sparkle of champagne and grey diamonds. Matte against brilliant, shadow against light… Fine jewelry without the formality. The result is a collection that feels sophisticated, but not precious about itself. It’s textural, slightly rebellious and incredibly easy to wear.

The Name Has Layers

Vesper comes from the Latin for evening and has long been associated with dusk, evening prayer and Venus as the evening star - that first brilliant point of light against a darkening sky.

There’s also the Vesper Sparrow, a quiet connection to Little Bird by Chemistry, our other in-house collection. If Little Bird is our classic side (think gold, diamonds and modern heirlooms) VESPER is its after-dark counterpart.

And, because we don’t take ourselves too seriously: in southern Germany, a Vesper is also a snack or small meal. Our founder is married to a first-generation German-American, so that sealed it! A little celestial, a little sentimental, and a little snack.

The Material Palette

• Oxidized Silver: Deep charcoal and blackened tones give each piece dimension, texture and a beautifully lived-in edge.

• Champagne & Grey Pave Diamonds: Not your classic white sparkle. We chose diamonds that shift from smoky grey to warm champagne, catching the light differently with every movement. 

• Made to Mix: Stack them. Layer them. Throw in your yellow gold. Add these pieces to the jewelry you’ve been collecting for years, or start your collection with a little edge. VESPER wasn’t designed to match, it’s intended to make the whole mix more interesting.
