BuDhaGirl was founded in 2013 by Jessica Jesse after a life-changing trip to Thailand, where she was inspired by traditional gold-leaf craftsmanship and the beauty of mindful ritual woven into everyday life. Working alongside more than 20 Thai artisans, she created a collection of waterproof, weightless, soundless bangles designed to move effortlessly through real life.
What we love most about these bangles is how easy they are to live in. They go everywhere—into rivers, onto sun-soaked skin, through travel days, work days, and slow mornings at home. They’re meant to be worn, not protected. Gifting them has become part of the story too—small, meaningful tokens shared between friends, family, and milestones, always carrying a quiet intention of joy, luck, or love.
At their core, BuDhaGirl bangles are about simple daily ritual. Slipping them on in the morning is a pause. A reset. A small reminder to move through the day with awareness and gratitude. Taking them off at night becomes a moment of reflection and ease.
They are built for movement and imperfection—swimming with kids, packing light for trips, living outdoors, and embracing mess and beauty at the same time. Nothing about them asks for preciousness. They are designed for life as it actually happens.
Beyond the jewelry, BuDhaGirl also supports Dhammajarinee Witthaya School in Thailand, helping provide education and care for over 1,000 underserved girls—extending the intention behind each piece into something larger than the object itself.
At its heart, BuDhaGirl is about this balance: beauty that is effortless, intention that is simple, and objects that quietly remind us to be present in the life we’re already living.
