There’s nothing quite like the moment when a shipment for our Southwest Summer Trunk Show arrives. We never know what’s inside from our favorite southwest artists, and that’s what makes it so exciting!

Each delivery offers a glimpse into what artists are currently creating, mostly one-of-a-kind pieces that won’t be repeated. One of our favorite artists is Dennis Hogan. His work has long been a favorite at Chemistry Jewelry, and every piece feels like a special treasure. 

Dennis Hogan has spent decades creating jewelry inspired by the American Southwest, blending traditional techniques with his refined sense of balance, proportion, and color. Known for his exceptional turquoise and carefully chosen stones, he works intuitively—letting each material guide the design—resulting in pieces that feel both rooted in tradition and distinctly modern.

Each piece reflects what inspires him in the moment, with stones often shaping the design and final form. This intuitive process gives his work a strong sense of individuality that collectors return to again and again. When Dennis sends work our way, it reflects what has recently inspired him - what caught his attention and what felt right in his studio.
